How does silicon-level isolation differ from standard virtualization? expand_more
Standard virtualization relies on a hypervisor, which can have vulnerabilities. Our silicon-level isolation uses Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs) to create a hardware-encrypted memory space that even the host operating system cannot access.
What is the typical latency penalty for using secure enclaves? expand_more
While encryption adds overhead, Herd Core's optimized engine minimizes this to sub-millisecond levels. Our global P99 latency remains around 12ms, comparable to or better than standard cloud inference.

Model weights are encrypted at rest and only decrypted inside the TEE at runtime. They never exist in plain text in the system memory or storage outside the enclave.
